Hyer Images bio picture

{ Billy & Rachel Hyer }

Thanks for stopping by!  We are Billy and Rachel Hyer, the creative heart behind Hyer Images.

We met in 2007, while attending Hallmark Institute of Photography. We’ve worked together as photographers since then, with more than 13 years of experience between us.  Now we are married and living in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina.  We love it!

We are so grateful to be doing our dream-job - capturing creative, unique images for our clients every day. Using natural light and our unique process, we achieve a style that is “editorial” and “dreamy.”

What inspires us?  Beautiful light, and everyday things like the early morning air, a good hearty laugh, the smell of the salt air, and vintage pieces. In our down time, we love going to the beach and cuddling on the couch watching movies.

Please set up an appointment anytime, we would be happy to hear from you! We love meeting new people and keeping up with current and past clients.

Have a blessed day!

{ 2010 Rewind }

We moved here in November 2009, with no jobs lined up, no clients, no real idea what was going to happen with ourselves or Hyer Images. With 2010 being the first “real” year in business, it has been better than we could have ever imagined & the Lord has blessed us beyond anything we could have hoped for!! We are able to work full time at this job that we are totally in tune & in love with, we get to meet people from all ends of the spectrum & photograph their live’s most special moments. I know I say it all the time, but we really do have the best job!

Looking over our photo catalogs this past year to update our website photos, we decided to take some of our personal favorite photos & post them here. We are so thankful to all of our wonderful clients in 2010 & cannot wait to see what 2011 brings!  As I scroll through, I can only thank our wonderful & perfect heavenly Father for all His perfect guidance & love He gives us each and every day!

We are back!! After a few weeks of traveling during busy season, we have returned with some truly awesome images to share with you! We have approximately 876,390 photos to filter through, so until then, here’s a few photos to quench your thirst.

Here’s a photo from Kara & Joey’s beautiful wedding in Andrews, NC on October 30th. It was so hard to choose just one photo.

This is from George & Lindsay’s wedding day in Zihuatanejo, Mexico! Now this was a good time :) :) We have a gazillion photos to post from their pre-wedding portrait session, the amazingly stylized rehearsal dinner & of course their wedding day. You won’t want to miss these!

This image is taken at Folly Beach of Mark Denman & his wife Sharon. They have been married for 6 lovely years, but wanted us to do a few wedding photos for them. I am in LOOOOOOVE with this image!

Charleston, SC Bridal Photographer { Melissa }

After photographing Jonathan & Melissa’s lovely, rural engagement session a few months back, we knew that Melissa’s Bridal session would be a treat! The session took place at the gorgeous & historic Rice Mill. Jonathan & Melissa were married this past weekend and are now enjoying their honeymoon in Seattle (a surprise to Melissa from Jonathan :) ) We will be posting their wedding images next week as we are off for Washington DC in the morning, have a great weekend!!

Charleston, SC Bridal Photographer { Stephanie }

Now that Stephanie is Mrs. Fox, we are able to feature her bridal portraits! Taken a few months ago at The Legare Waring House (phenomenal venue!) on a rainy day, Stephanie glowed head to toe in her gown.

Charleston, SC Bridal Photographer { Ashley }

Ashley is one brave chica, she is letting us post her bridals before her wedding! What a gal, so we are crossing our fingers that her fiance Jason won’t see these. Regardless, she would have to force me not to post these shots, we are head over cowboy boots for these images. Ashley, you are a trooper for enduring the dirt & bugs, can’t wait for the October nuptials.
