Thanks for stopping by! We are Billy and Rachel Hyer, the creative heart behind Hyer Images. We met in 2007, while attending Hallmark Institute of Photography. We’ve worked together as photographers since then, with more than 13 years of experience between us. Now we are married and living in beautiful Charleston, South Carolina. We love it! We are so grateful to be doing our dream-job - capturing creative, unique images for our clients every day. Using natural light and our unique process, we achieve a style that is “editorial” and “dreamy.” What inspires us? Beautiful light, and everyday things like the early morning air, a good hearty laugh, the smell of the salt air, and vintage pieces. We are thrilled to have another publication by Elle magazine for the second time this year! We work hard to do our best job, so when we get recognized it is a great honor. Thanks everyone for your continual kind words and support!

There is not a day that goes by that we don’t pinch ourselves and say “wow” we have the coolest job EVER! We love what we do and are so thankful that we are blessed with the photographic opportunities that come our way. As we have learned, we can be the greatest photographer in the world, but if no one knows about us what good is it.? That being said, it means so much to us when people tell their friends about us and take the time on our blog and Facebook to tell us how much they enjoy our work. About three months ago we received what is most likely the largest compliment we have ever received, a call from the editor of Elle Magazine!! They asked us if we would be willing to share our images from a Mexico destination wedding we photographed last November. As you can guess we had no hesitation and very proudly replied with the biggest “YES” of our career!!
We sure do love it when we know others spread the word of Hyer Images and our quality of work! So, I’m sure you know we just love it when we find our work receiving national and international recognition!! We’d like to dedicate this blog to all the bloggers and people who spread the word with love! I love graphic designer, Joel Davis over at Cross & Crown Productions! I heard about C&C through a friend of a friend & couldn’t be happier with their service. We initially went to them to start getting Hyer Image T’s ordered (which will be coming soon!) but first got some words of wisdom to get our logo up to par.
Lo and behold, Joel received countless emails of my pickiness, craziness and concern yet coached me through the process and put together a great logo for our business. Oh, and did I mention he did this within days? Best service ever! Done deal, one very happy customer right here.
