Rachel and I were spending some time in Wisconsin last week when it decided to give us the biggest snow storm of the year! We got the urge, hopped into the truck and just drove looking for inspiration. It’s a little rare for us to photograph each other, but with a scene as beautiful as pure white snow it was impossible to resist! Rachel (my wife) you are as beautiful as ever and your heart overflows with sincere generosity and kindness! You make me a BLESSED man xoxo!!

It was so sweet, a friends little boy saw this bottom image on Facebook and said “mommy she looks like an angel”

We love the feeling of looking at creation and realizing how miniature we are in the reality of things, these evergreens reminded us of just that!

You may remember this adorable couple from their engagement session with us. Joe and Tina are two of the kindest souls we’ve met. They were both so lovely to work with, it was such an honor to meet them, photograph their love & document their beautiful wedding day. Congratulations you two!

I feel like we haven’t posted in such a long time, but we have been the busiest year to date! (hooray!!) We have a bunch of beautiful weddings, couples & graduates lined up to post so keep checking back!
First off the beautiful wedding of James & Kavita! They and their guest traveled to Charleston for their international, interracial wedding and boy, was it a stunner! The colors, people & traditions of this Indian inspired wedding just blew our minds and whenever we are in awe it makes it so easy to photogrpah. The decor & florals were the handy work of Distinctive Events. Both the ceremony and reception were held in the courtyard of The Gibbes Art Museum. Congratulations James and Kavita, we wish you a long life of happiness together!

Very happy to be announced as one of the “Most Creative Wedding Photographers in the World.”

Yep, that’s me! And if you missed the title, that little baby is a BOY!
Right now, I know nothing of parenthood. But I know that we will do our best in our own way. The journey to becoming first time parents isn’t quite what I had always imagined. It’s better. I already want to protect and give this little man everything he needs or wants, which I do – chocolate at 10 o’clock at night
I am thrilled to become a mother, but even more so because Billy is already one awesome daddy. Listening to him talk to our little guy, jumping on the chance to listen to his heartbeat & the way his eyes light up when I bring home baby goodies makes my heart melt. I know that our son will have an incredible father & that makes me want to be an even more incredible mom. I don’t know how we will get through the sleepless nights, & if he is anything like his dad – the countless trips to the emergency room; But I do know that he will be loved with every bone in our body & be kissed at every whim.
Oh, and his name you ask? William Henry Hyer VI – Since his dad & granddad are Billy & Bill, we are opting for “Henry”. Little baby Henry.

We have the privilege to witness & photograph so many weddings, but today we get to look back on our day. Happy ONE year anniversary to US!
